Moving slowly in Vinyasa creates a greater opportunity for being aware of what you are supposed to be doing.Focusing on the actions of the upper body in this workshop at Pure Yoga Cheshire, will help build detailed understanding of what is safe and useful practice for you.’Preparation for Inversions’ is the title that guides the focus of this posture practice.
Going upside-down is stimulating and fun. It can be challenging and not everyone is required to try but there will be preparations for all as we work from where we are at towards this fun and engaging part of yoga posture practice.Dynamic movements for shoulders and upper body will offer insights into safety details and strengthening for all.
Respecting body dynamics and breath awareness brings deep healing to joints and steadiness to the mind. This workshop will be laced with easy practices you can try at home.
Starting with a short introductory talk about yoga, an overview of the purpose of the practice this workshop will be informative but based in practice.
Closing down with seated breath work (pranayama) and short guided meditation before relaxation.

About Peter
Born in Manchester, Peter Roussel started there with Astanga yoga in 1998. Since then he has traveled the world to learn from great teacher in many styles of hatha yoga practice and self development. Peter is passionate about the connection between systems; the workings of the body – breath – mind and to some degree nutrition have been the focus of his practice and study for over 15 years.
Informative classes with creative sequences are appreciated by many for his ability to include different levels of the students practice. Besides sharing skilful techniques Peter is appreciated for linking the effects of the practice with subjects as far reaching as injury, self esteem, fitness and life purpose.
